About

Founded in 2024, CHAMPS (Community Hub for Academic and Mentorship Programs in Sports) was created by a team of dedicated Massachusetts locals who recognized a need for greater support and guidance for adolescents and young adults passionate about baseball. We are a non-profit organization made up of coaches, parents, and social workers who share a deep commitment to empowering youth and uplifting the communities we serve.

At CHAMPS, we combine coaching with mentorship to promote self-discovery, personal growth, and resilience—both on and off the field. Through a variety of life-enriching experiences, we help young people build confidence, develop social-emotional skills, and unlock their potential.

Our community outreach includes year-round events and access to resources that help youth thrive across multiple areas of life. To enhance athletic development, we host weekly baseball clinics where kids build friendships while engaging in drills and skill-building exercises to strengthen their game. We also organize travel to local and national tournaments, where participants can compete, collaborate, and connect with peers from different regions. These trips often include enrichment experiences such as hiking, swimming, museum visits, college tours, and stops at national baseball landmarks.

Beyond sports, CHAMPS is deeply committed to academic and personal success. We provide tutoring, mentorship, career development, and a centralized resource hub where youth can seek support for challenges they may be facing. Our services extend to families as well, offering assistance and information related to food insecurity, housing instability, and other social needs.

CHAMPS evolves with the world. Wherever we see a need, we rise to meet it. We believe that adaptability, accountability, and human connection are essential in building a brighter, more equitable future for the next generation.

CHAMPS proudly partners with the NRP Astros, a competitive tournament baseball team that competes at the national level. This collaboration provides young athletes with the opportunity to sharpen their skills, elevate their competitive edge, and develop a strong sense of teamwork as they pursue excellence in the sport.

Participation in national tournaments also opens the door to enriching travel experiences. These trips allow players, coaches, families, and volunteers to connect and grow through shared adventures—ranging from cultural outings and educational tours to team-building activities that create lasting memories on and off the field.
